This is another one of the Martin Vintage Series, with tortoid plastic binding like the pre-66's. Ebony fingerboard with genuine abalone dots. Open back butterbean tuners, ebony bridge. There are a few minor dings on the back, but the top is very clean, just a moderate ding at the treble end of the bridge. Overall, a good 9.5+/10. For a '97 model, it's in excellent condition. I believe this guitar belonged to Missouri songwriter Neal Appling.
