We have a wonderful color called "bone".....it's almost identical to the old Cadillac White Diamond, but not metallic. It's a beautiful off-white (the case in the above photo), our current favorite. To gain maximum strength to weight ratio, the top and bottom of the next production run will be arched like the D-guitar and mandolin cases. The same vacuum process used for the D-guitar case to reduce the amount of excess resin to minimize weight, is used in this third generation banjo case.

There are a few bone cases with an extra cargo box, under the neck, between the handstop and the fifth peg.

I have no endorsement deal with this eminent man, and this photo is published in the fall 2007 issue of The Fretboard Journal. It's worth sharing.....

The Price banjo case is a tapered fiberglass case with two storage compartments parallel to the neck. It is available in white, bone, or light gray exterior with interior colors Burgundy, Royal Blue or Forest Green. We expect it to provide the best possible protection for your precious instrument. The first two off the line were bought by Ron Rigsby of "The Rigsbys" fame and
Ron Stewart (formerly of The Lynn Morris Band, pictured above with his Price banjo case). Watch for his Rounder CD, "Time Stands Still". Ron is a first rate banjo player and absolutely my favorite fiddle player. He's playing fiddle with J. D. Crowe and The New South. The Rons are real pros who know what is needed and recognized that the Price case has it.
The Price banjo case incorporates technology used in composite aircraft construction. The specially designed seals fit and function beautifully.

A custom made cover (of rugged polyester luggage fabric, padded, with carrying strap) is available at a reasonable cost (temporarily out of stock, but in production February 2009) and if you are going to fly with the banjo as checked baggage, consider the cover a necessity. The next batch of covers will incorporate a removable axle with ball-bearing wheels and a soft, stowable handle so you can pull the case through an airport just like you do a suitcase.

Here are some of the finished interiors, Royal Blue, Burgundy and Forest Green.

Sonny Osborne has been delivering his new Chief banjos in the 3 box version of the case, with his proprietary logo plate, for about two years now. Very worthy banjos, indeed.

Case is usually a couple of pounds lighter than a Mark Leaf, about an inch thinner and an inch shorter. Subject to packing charge, UPS Ground shipping and insurance $40 in the contiguous 48 states, actual costs overseas, AK and HI.
