Price Combination Violin/Mandolin case

In response to a number of inquiries, the Price Combination violin/mandolin case is now a reality, with two storage compartments (one large, one small). The instruments do not make contact with the case shell at any point. It is offered in white, bone or light gray exterior, with interior colors Burgundy, Royal Blue or Forest Green. Price is $994.95, including carrying strap. It provides better impact protection, better shock protection and, due to the use of light colors only, better protection from radiant heat than ANY case, at ANY price.

Provision is made to carry four bows.

Pictured above is the exterior and here's what the interior looks like. It gives the mandolin and violin the best possible support and protection from bumps, bruises, shocks and temperature.

The shoulder strap is a standard feature, so all will be delivered with the mounting hardware installed and the strap included. The leather handle is the best available and lays nicely against the shell. A cordura cover custom made by Colorado Case Co. will soon be available, and for those who fly frequently and need some relief from weight, a detachable axle and wheels will be available.

NOTES ON FIRST PUTTING THE MANDOLIN IN THE CASE (Yes, it does fit!)

The correct way to put the mandolin it the case is thus:
Rotate the mandolin on its long axis (treble side low) and put the body points all the way into their recesses. Apply enough lateral pressure (toward the points) on the bass side to allow the bass side to enter the cavity. In extreme cases it may be necessary to use the fingers as a shoehorn to compress the bass side foam. Light downward pressure on the lower body point, the scroll and the edge of the face on the bass side at the widest place will put the mandolin at the bottom of the cavity.
When the case is new, fabric, glue and foam are free and unformed. After the mandolin is put in the case a couple or three times, the cavity is a custom fit for that mandolin and it's very easy to put it in the case after that. NOTES ON FIRST PUTTING THE VIOLIN IN THE CASE

Put the peghead into its recess first, then lower the body into its recess.
