Deluxe Mandolin, front view
Here's the star of the art deco mandolin family, the Deluxe.
This Deluxe features art deco styling, a fern motif after R. L. Givens, Oregon flamed myrtle back, sides and neck,
Port Orford cedar top, arched ebony fingerboard with dot inlay, Tradition F-5 tailpiece, gold plated hardware, hand-shaded sunburst, hand-rubbed
oil varnish finish, multiple binding on body and purfled binding on peghead, f-holes, ebony bridge and a handmade
mother of pearl truss rod cover and an optional pickguard which does not obstruct the f-hole. On all my mandolins, I use X-bracing that crosses
between the bridge and the neck, with the braces passing directly under the bridge feet for most efficient sound transfer and quick response.
I also have other top woods, including Engelmann spruce, Adirondack and Appalachian red spruce, western red cedar and Douglas fir; for the
back, sides and neck, maple from Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Michigan, and the Pacific Northwest. I have had
some really lovely tone results from Oregon myrtle in neck, back and sides. Prices include hard case. Options include Price and Nelson case, select fancy wood, varnish finish.
