SL-5 Banjo Tailpiece

Designed in December 1981, the SL-5 has taken its place as the finest banjo tailpiece made.

Banjo setup guru Bill Palmer has some interesting comments on the SL-5.

The string spacing across the front is the same as the string notch spacing in the standard bridge saddle, resulting in greatly improved stability, tunability and open response. Janet Davis says "You get more sound out for less work put in". Bill Keith and Lynn Morris are only a couple of the many skilled professionals who swear by the SL-5.

Every batch has been a little better than the last, string relief being the last refinement added in 1996.
