Classic Banjo Tone Ring Machined from an alloy derived from several analyses of prewar Mastertone tone rings, the Classic produces the cleanest sound available. It retains the classic look of the Mastertone ring in use since the mid 1930's. Weight is at or a bit over three pounds.
Outside wall is bright nickel or gold plated, sloped surface is available in a matte finish or bright plating. Fourth string is deep and rich, highs are brilliant and bell-like, and the mids, between the fifth and 17th frets, powerful and full.
